Delivery and returns
Every maker ships differently, so we show the carriage and the dispatch time on each product rather than hiding it at the till.
Delivery
We deliver within the United Kingdom only. The carriage for each product is shown on its page and again in the basket, and it is charged per item because bike boxes travel as individual large parcels. Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland postcodes carry a surcharge where a carrier charges us one; the basket works it out from your postcode.
Some boxes ship from our own stock, some are sent to you direct by the maker, and some are made to order. The product page says which, and roughly when it will be dispatched. You will get an email with a tracking number when it is on its way.
A bike box is a big parcel. Please check it over when it arrives and tell us about any damage within 48 hours, with a photo, so we can sort it out with the carrier.
Changing your mind
You can cancel an order for any reason up to 14 days after you receive it. Email us at hello@thebikeboxcompany.com with your order number, then send the item back within 14 days of telling us. It must be unused and in its original packaging. You pay the return carriage; we can quote a collection if that is easier. We refund the price you paid for the item and the original standard delivery within 14 days of receiving it back. We may reduce the refund if the item has been used or damaged while it was with you.
A made-to-order box built to your measurements (the Buxum range) is still covered by the 14 days, because it is a standard model sized from options rather than a bespoke item.
Faulty goods
Everything we sell is covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If something is faulty you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days, and for six months after that we will repair or replace it, or refund you if we cannot. Beyond that, every box and bag carries its maker's own warranty, which runs from two years to lifetime; the product page says which. We deal with the maker for you.
